The former Mayor of the Bamenda II Council, Awa Fidelis Balick has died, sources close to his family have confirmed.
He passed away on Sunday, July 19 in Bamenda, following a malaise, a source confirmed.
Member of the Soial Democratic party, Awa Fidelis was voted as pioneer Mayor of the Bamenda II Council; a position he held until 2020 when the SDF was voted out of the Council during the February 2020 twin polls.
He is the latest bigwig of the SDF party to pass away in a short space of time after Honourable, Joseph Banadzem, Honourable Joseph Mbah Ndam and Barrister Sama Francis.
