Cameroon:four separatists killed, three soldiers wounded in Muyuka battle

At least four separatist fighters were killed and many others injured on Sunday during clashes between security forces and separatist fighters in Muyuka, South West Region, the Cameroon army has said.

Security forces said the fighters were killed during an operation by the army to weed the area of the armed men who they say have been terrorising the population.

“Four terrorists(separatist fighters) were neutralised, one captured and many injured fighters escaped,” the army said in a security message.

The army also confirmed three soldiers were injured, with one severely injured.

Security forces said they seized weapons and amunition from the fighters as well as computers as well as various equipment from the Cameroonian security forces.
