Cameroon:Gang of alleged bike thieves, drug dealers arrested in Dschang

A gang allegedly specialized in the theft and sale of motorbikes in Dschang, Menoua Division in the West Region has been arrested by elements of the National Gendarmerie.

The gang made up of four members was arrested in Bamendou village following several complaints from villagers who also accuse them of harassment and terrorising the population.

In the course of their arrest, a self-made pistol with 02 cartridges, 02 daggers, 01 machette, 06 bikes, a tramol pack were equally seized.

Before this gang was arrested, another operation had been carried out in the Ngui neighbourhood leading to the arrest of four persons including four alleged drug dealers.

The operation led to the seizure of 59 wraps of cannabis, 14 knives, 06 scissors, two 10,000 CFA Francs banknotes, 10 tramol tablets, 41 viagra tablets, 07 packets of rocks, 11 cell phones, non-weighed Indian hemp, 02 gas bottles, 01 military shorts and a PB laptop.
