Cameroonian singer Daphne scoops top award at Afrima

Cameroonian singer Daphne Njie has scooped at the weekend scooped an award at the African Music Awards in Accra, Ghana.

With her hit track “Jusqu’à la Gare”, the singer was crowned as the best female artist in the Central African sub region ahead of her fellow compatriots Blanche Bailly and Charlotte Dipanda.

This is the second time she is scooping this award after that of 2016 where shewon ahead of Charlotte Dipanda and Reniss.

Daphne was the only Cameroonian to scoop an award out of the 16 Cameroonians nominated in the various categories on the night.

The artists took toinstagram to thank her God and her fans for this latest prize and promised to work harder to bring more home.
