The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon would leave their training base in the Kenyan capital Nairobi, for Moroni where they will face Comoros on Saturday in their Afcon 2019 qualifier against Comoros.

The Indomitable Lions had a day off today after holding five training sessions since setting base in Nairobi on Monday before jetting off this evening at 16h30 local time.

Twenty-two players are part of the trip while goalkeepers’ trainer Alioum Boukar has joined the squad after rounding off his pilgrimage in Mecca. The two junior lions who were part of the camp Stéphane Zobo and Pierre Ramses Pe Akono have returned to their clubs.

Thursday morning was specially reserved for relaxation in the gymnasium and a thirty-minute ice bath while Wednesday was set aside for tactical sessions after physical and medical tests were completed.

The Lions will hold one last training session at the Said Mohamed Cheikh stadium in Mitsamiouli, which will host Saturday’s game before a pre-match press conference of head coach Clarence Seedorf.
