Cameroon:Paul Biya, Comoros President discuss AFCON

The Head of State, Paul Biya on Tuesday, January 11 received in audience the President of the Union of Comoros, Azali Assoumani.

During the over one hour audience on Tuesday morning at the State House, both men discussed on friendly ties between the two nations.

It was equally an opportunity for the two to discuss the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations which kicked off in Cameroon last Sunday, January 9.

The Comoros leader has been an active player in the early stages of the AFCON as he attended the opening ceremony on Sunday and then was at the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium on Monday to watch his country play their first ever game of the AFCON against Gabon.

Despite Comoros losing out one nil, the leader was still confident his nation has what it takes to win their remaining matches and progress to the next round.
