Cameroon:Quebec eyes business partnerships with CAMTEL

The Cameroon Telecommunications, CAMTEL and Quebec, the French speaking Canadian Province are envisaging greater economic and business partnerships.

While on a visit to Cameroon, the Delegate General of Quebec in Dakar with competence in the Central African sub region, Iya Toure met with the management of CAMTEL on Wednesday, July 28 to exchange ideas to that regards.

On behalf of the General Manager of CAMTEL, the Deputy, Daniel Désiré Olle welcomed took the guests through the various services and opportunities offered by the structure.

He said the visit represents a great opportunity to explore various avenues and business opportunities for CAMTEL and Quebec and lauded the relationship that has always existed between the company and Canada.

CAMTEL stands to benefit from the Quebec’s inch perfect technology especially at a moment the firm is set to launch its mobile operations, the Deputy GM said. He went further to cite a series of collaboration between CAMTEL and Canada, notably COSETTE, the communation agency specialised in branding and marketing and has been key in the conception of Camtel’s BLUE mobile network which will soon be launched.

In terms of managerial expertise, the Deputy GM said CAMTEL is well equipped with the expertise, some of whom have Canadian training like the General Manager, Judith Yah Sunday.

The heads of the various key departments of CAMTEL then took turns to present the services offered by the structure under its banner of “Change Management and Customer Centricity”.

After listening to the various presentations from CAMTEL, the Delegate General of Quebec was amazed by the technical offer presented by the structure while particularly lauding its data centre which he said makes CAMTEL stands out as a reference.

He equally, raved over the imminet launch of CAMTEL’s BLUE mobile network which he said will provide more opportunities to the youth.

Talking about opportunities, the Delegate General and his entourage were clarified on the award of public contracts at the CAMTEL by the Deputy GM who said it was a very rigourous and competitive process to get just the best service provider.

Edified on the opportunities the structure offers, Iya Toure hoped the meeting is an ice breaker to greater opportunitie oportunities between the two in no distant future.
