Cameroon:Soldiers free four hostages from ‘Ambazonia’ captivity

At least four hostages have been freed in Tanka, a locality close to Bamenda in the North West Region by Defence and Security Forces.

The hostages were freed during an operation carried last weekend in the locality last weekend in search of Ambazonia fighters who had set up a camp there.

In the course of the operation, several weapons and amunition were recovered while several quantities of drugs and charms were also seized and destroyed.

However, no separatist fighter is said to have been captured as they all fled leaving behind the hostages who were in their keeping as the soldiers destroyed their camp.
