      The Moderator of the Presbyterian Church Cameroon, the Rt Rev Samuel Fonki Forba has refuted claimes that the COVID-19 vaccine is dangerous for the health and instead advanced that it is thanks to God’s Grace to prevent further infections to the deadly virus.

      The man of God was speaking last Friday May 21 after taking his first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine at the Buea Regional Hospital.

      Barrister Rene Manfo of late Paul Eric Kingue’s MPCN is the new Mayor of Njombe-Penja in the Moungo Division, Littoral region of Cameroon.

      He was elected this Friday May 21 at the premises of the Njombe-Penja Council with 16 votes out of 34.

      He replaces the late party President, Paul Eric Kingue who died in March.

      The concerned referees are; Harouna Gado, Dimonya Florent, Souleymanou Bah, Mbta Ntyeze and Tonye Bayiha.

    • Cameroon: National Assembly bids farewell to late Deputy Speaker

    • Cameroon: Biya decorates military officials, journalists after successful humanitarian mission to Equatorial Guinea

      The Head of State, Paul Biya has honoured some military officials and media men who were part of a delegation sent to Bata in Equatorial Guinea to provide humanitarian assistance following a series of deadly blasts in the country’s largest town, Bata.

      They were decorated with the Knight of the Cameroon Order of Merit during a solemn ceremony this Monday May 17 chaired by the Minister of Defense, Jospeh Beti Assomo.

      Some of the media men decorated include CRTV’s Albert Njie Mbonde, Constatine Mbom and Stieve Tchiega Eke-Mbengue.

    • Cameroon: Sports boss inspects AFCON infrastructures in West region

      The Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Prof Narcisse Moulle Kombi is on a working visit to the West region.

      He arrived Bafoussam Sunday May 16 ahead of the inspection tour scheduled for today and was received by the Governor of the West region, Awa Fonka Augustin.

      He has been on a tour to different AFCON infrastructures in the country for the past month.

       

    • Cameroon: 5 alleged drug dealers arrested in Yaounde

      Elements of the Nlongkak Gendarmerie arrested 5 alleged drug dealers Saturday May 15 in Yaounde, Centre region of Cameroon.

      According to reports, the arrest came after a lady complained of theft on May 12.

      Investigations carried out by gendarmerie unit resulted to the arrest of the drug dealers amongst which were found two individuals who allegedly rubbed the lady.
