The General Manager of the Cameroon Development Corporation, CDC has called on workers of the institution to remain calm despite the Anglophone crisis threatening activities of the Corporation.
In a statement signed on Friday, the General Manager of the CDC Franklin Njie, called on workers, community leaders and the population to remain calm and exercise respect for the corporation’s installation and properties.
The call comes following attacks by unidentified men on some of the properties and installations of the CDC in the South West Region.
The current crisis in the South West and North West Regions of Cameroon has grounded activities at the various CDC sites with about workers at risk of losing their jobs
However, the General manager has assured the workers to remain calm while the government of Cameroon seeks lasting solutions to the crisis.
He stressed that the CDC remains an apolitical, people-oriented organization with the goal to acquire, develop and operate extensive plantations of tropical crops.
