Paris Saint Germain forward Eric Maxime Choupo Moting will captain Cameroon on Friday against Malawi in their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, head coach Clarence Seedorf has revealed.
Cameroon face Malawi today at the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium on matchday 3 of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Seedorf’s first home game in charge.
After handing the captain’s armband to Michael Ngadeu in the first match against the Comoros, Seedorf has decided to rotate the task and hand over to the Paris Saint Germain forward.
Clarence Seedorf also revealed striker Christian Bassogog while miss the game today with a muscular injury but could be back in time for the return game on Tuesday.
Cameroon will be hoping to impose its lead on the group with a win over the Malawi flames who are determined to claw a positive result in Yaounde ahead of the return leg.
