The Constitutional Council has finally confirmed the senatorial list of the Cameroon Peoples Democratic Movement CPDM in the West Region after examining a petition against it.
The Constitutional Council had postponed the hearing last week to Monday after it had deemed the petition from the Social Democratic Front valid.
The SDF had complained on the double identity and validity of the name of a CPDM candidate on the list which the ruling party claims it was a press distortion.
Sitting at the Congress hall on Monday, the Constitutional Council confirmed the CPDM list meaning the ruling party will be represented in all the ten regions of the country at the elections.
The elections will hold on Sunday March 25 in polling stations across the country.
