Traffic on the Douala Yaounde highway was paralysed for over three hours in the early hours of Wednesday following a road accident involving two heavy duty trucks.

Eye witness reports on the ground say the trucks were on high speed before colliding  blocking the entire road road making it difficult and impossible for vehicles to move.

No death has been recorded so far as a tractor was later brought to clear the wood from one of the truxks that had blocked the road while the trucks have been pushed to the corner of the road.

Traffic and movement is gradually returning to normal on the highway.
