Elite I: Eding Sport record second consecutive win to close gap at top

Eding Sport of La Lekié recorded their second victory in as many games as possible to close the gap at the top of the table to just two points.

The Champions recorded a 2-1 victory on Sunday over YAFOOT in a matchday 4 encounter played in Yaounde.

It could even get better for them if they manage to win their two delayed games following their participation in the Caf Champions League.

Leaders Feutcheu FC were held to a 1-1 draw by Colombe of Sangmelima while Fovu of Baham lost away to UMS Loum one nil.

Union of Douala recorded their first victory of the season with a 2-1 win over Dragon of Yaounde but things seem not to be moving on well for Coton Sport of Garoua who slipped to a one nil defeat at home against AS Fortuna.

Stade Renard of Melong and Aigle Royale of the Menoua played to a goalless draw as well as APEJES of Mfou and Yong Sport Academy of Bamenda. Bamboutos of Mbouda and Astres also separated on a goalless draw. New Stars of Douala remain rooted to the bottom of the table after suffering another defeat to away to Unisport of Bafang two nil.
