Elite One : Eding gets title defence underway

Cameroon Champions Eding Sport of Lekie will begin their title defence today when they face Stade Renard in the second matchday of the national football championships that kicked off at the weekend.

Eding were not in action at the weekend due to their Caf Champions League assignment away in Nigeria where they lost heavily to Plateau United of Nigeria (3-0).

They will be hoping to get over that set back this afternoon by returning to winning ways as a good way to kick start their title defence.

However, the other continental representative, New Stars of Douala will not be in action as they travel to Equatorial Guinea today to continue preparations ahead of their return leg Caf Confederation Cup return leg game againts Deportivo Niefang

In the other matchday two encounters of the Professional Football League today, Young Sport Academy of Bamenda will be looking for their first goal of the season when they host Bamboutos of Mbouda

Fovu host YAFOOt at the CENAJES stadium in Dschang while Feutcheu FC and AS Fortuna clash at the Bafoussam Omnisports stadium.
