The European Union and Cameroon’s Ministry of Economy Planning and Regional Development, Thursday, signed a 63 billion grant to boost the country’s Agro Pastoral Sector and create roads in major production basins over the next 3 years.
The convention was signed in Yaounde. Hans- Peter Schadek signed for the European Union while the Minister of Economy Planning Louis Paul Motaze signed for the Government of Cameroon.
Going by the terms of reference, the funds will be geared towards boosting development in the country’s rural sector, easing access to pastoral and improving the management of resources in the agro pastoral sector.
Speaking at the occasion, EU Representative Hans- Peter Schadek expressed hope that the project will boost the effectiveness of foreign aid to Cameroon.
