The 20th edition of the national finals of the FENASCO A games was on Monday launched in Ngaoundere by the Minister of Secondary Education Nalova Lyonga.
The games were launched under calls for fair play, national unity, multiculturalism and diversity as the guiding principles.
These principles fall in line with the theme of the games : “School sports, vector of living together” as the students were told.
During the opening ceremony, Issa Hamza, the triple boxing champion was handed the game’s flame as the students were told to look up to him as a model.
. “You have to accept defeat and celebrate victory. You must be examples of living together, a value dear to the Head of state. Because, you are tomorrow’s ideal, “Nalova Lyonga told the youths.
The president of the Fenasco A games, Samuel Rigobert Mandeng, on his part presented the games as a moment of social cohesion and interaction among the youths of the ten regions of Cameroon.
The games will run for the 2-8 April.
