An interim Divisional Officer has been appointed in Batibo as the search for the abducted Namata Marcel Diteng continues.
Ernest kwanzeh was installed on Wednesday by North West Governor Adolphe Lele LAfrique in the presence of the Senior Divisional Officer Absalom Monono Woloa
Ernest Nkwenzeh, a civil administrator at the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Decentralisation was serving as first assistant to the Senior Divisional Officer for Momo.
He has been tasked to restore peace and order in the locality by the Governor of the North West Region.
Adolphe Lele LAfrique was in Batibo to take stock of the situation on the ground as he visited the family of the abducted Divisional Officer to assure them of efforts put in place to rescue the civil administrator.
Joint military search operations have intensified since the abduction of Diteng Dilong the missing Divisional Officer of Batibo who was abducted bhy unknown gunmen at the Grand Stand on 11 February.
Batibo has since then been in panic as population flee the area for fear of military reprisals after the DO’s kidnap.
