Ivorian Army helicopter crashes into Comoé River, Alépé

A helicopter with three French soldiers from the 43rd Marine Infantry Battalion (BIMA) on board crashed on Tuesday evening in the Comoé River in the Alépé department of Abidjan, the Ivorian press has reported.The low-flying aircraft hit high-voltage lines before ending up in the river, according to the daily Fraternité Matin, noting that no loss of life was recorded.

However, the three passengers were slightly injured.

On October 14, a plane carrying Operation Barkhane soldiers crashed off Abidjan, killing four people and injuring six others.

A civilian helicopter crashed on December 14, 2017, injuring four people, including a 15-year-old girl.
