Japanese Entrepreneurs Convened to Invest in Cameroon

Minister Lejeune Mbella Mbella inviting Japanese entrepreneurs to invest in Cameroon

The call was made last March 26 by the minister of Foreign affairs, Lejeune Mbella Mbella. It was during a video meeting with the Tokyo international conference on African Development, TICAD 8.


According to Cameroon’s minister of Foreign affairs, Lejeune Mbella Mbella, the success of the country’s National Development Strategy for 2030, SND30, relies on the support of bilateral and multilateral partners.


Amdist these partners, features Japan. The Minister then used the inter-ministerial encounter of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development, TICAD 8 to present Cameroon as a land of opportunities. Taking the floor, he invited Japanese entrepreneurs to take advantage of the different investment opportunity his country offers.


They can invest by supporting start ups and working at technology transfer to Cameroon, the minister said.
Such initiatives according to Lejeune Mbella Mbella will participate at jobs’ creation which will enable youths and women to emerge through entrepreneurship and digital economy.


He furthermore added that Cameroon under the auspices of President Paul Biya has put in place a battery reforms within the framework of the SND30 aiming at transforming the economy into a diversified economy, innovative, integrated, sustainable and competitive.
