videos newsAyah Paul Abine, detained Supreme Court Deputy Advocate General granted an interview to Journal du Cameroun’s Sixtus Mbom on December 18, 2016. In the interview he emphasised President Biya’s taking over of the Unity Palace was an unfortunate event with regards to national unity. He explains his conviction that Biya is the one who initiated moves for the separation of Francophone Cameroon from Anglophone Cameroon.
Before his controversial arrest which came about one month after this interview, the former CPDM Member of Parliament also explained to us how he initiated moves to prevent protesters from engaging in violence and destruction of state and private properties during the on-going strikes in English-speaking Cameroon which have so far, led to the death of at least ten citizens.
