Official:Karl Toko Ekambi joins Villareal

Cameroon international forward Karl Toko Ekambi has joined Spanish side Villareal on a five-year deal, the Primera Division club has confirmed.

The 25-year old was officially announced as a submarine player on Thursday after his best ever season in the French league with Angers where he scored 17 goals in 37 matches.

The impressive season forced Villareal to fork out 20 million Euros to prize him away from France ahead of several European clubs that were battling for his signature.

Toko Ekambi became the first Cameroonian player to win the Marc Vivien Foé prize for the best African player in the French Ligue 1 after his sensational season.
