The traditional rulers of Ika, Issia and Ambombo who are reportedly abducted last Saturday in Widikum have been released, local sources say.
The Chiefs were arrested after gunmen attacked into the village shooting indescriminately before taking them away.
According to local sources, the chiefs were abducted because they are suspected for conniving with Government to trace out Ambazonia activists.
Sources say the kidnappers had since demanded for a ransom but it is not clear if it was paid in before the chiefs were released.
The have been waves of kidnappings by Ambazonia activists across the North West and South West regions with the Divisional Officer for Wabane kidnapped on Tuesday before being released.
