Malawian Prophet takes Swaziland by storm

Renowned Malawian pastor, Prophet Shepherd Bushiri of the Enlightened Christian Gathering ECG church has taken Swaziland by storm, his presence disrupting the work schedules of many Swazis.The prophet is in Swaziland for a two-day service that started on Wednesday night, resulting to many Swazis absenting themselves from work to attend.

The Prophet attracted people from all over the country, some of whom gathered at the Old Trade Fair Grounds in Manzini as early as 7am in preparation for services that were to start at 6pm.

According to some of his followers in Swaziland the arrival of the prophet has saved them money because they usually travel to attend his services in Pretoria, South Africa at least twice a year.

The prophet who has made controversial prophecies about countries including Zambia and Morocco is in Swaziland for the third time in five years.

In Zambia he claimed that there will be war and bloodshed while he predicted a civil war in Morocco.

Both prophesies are yet to happen.

Most of those who brought their sleeping mats, blankets, stoves and other items to set camp at the lodging area said they wanted to be healed of their illnesses and also to be relieved of bad luck.

Random interviews conducted by APA on Thursday, which is the second day of the services, suggested that most of the followers are looking for miracles related with money, promotions at work, marriage and general breakthrough in life.
