Mercy Ship:Over 220 Cameroonians treated in two months

According to authorities of the floating hospital in Douala, over 220 Cameroonian patients with various defamations have been treated through surgery since their two months stay in the country.

The message was revealed October 9, after an audience granted the ships’ authorities by Cameroon’s Prime Minister Philemon Yang.

During the audience, the ships’ management equally revealed that those treated so far are women with fistulas, patients with cataracts, kidney problems among others. They implored all Cameroonians with diseases of shame such obstetric fistula, facial and dental defamations to come for treatment. “We are looking specific surgical patients who need help” they said.

In the end, the Prime Minister applauded the team and it was announced that two government buses have been offered to the ship in the bid to assist with transport logistics for patients.
