Meme Senior Divisional Officer (SDO), Chamberlin Ntou’ou Ndong, recently ordered security forces to arrest Julius Bawe Njeya, for allegedly bankrolling elements of the Ambazonia Defence Forces (ADF).

The 37-year-old suspect is a civil servant with the Meme Divisional Delegation of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development (MINEPAT).

He was unmasked after an anonymous source informed the Meme Prefect that Njeya was aiding the restoration forces with topographic maps of the administrative unit and distributing money to fighters in various centres.

According to reports, when the SDO got news of Njeya’s activities with the restoration forces, he convened an extra-ordinary meeting with all the staffers of MINEPAT delegation in his Meme office.

After a lot grilling from the administration, some of the staffers of the delegation were liberated. Before the meeting could rise, the accused was left one on one with the SDO to trash out the issue.

News emerging from the SDO’s tete a tete with the accused holds that when the administrator started grilling Njeya on his activities with the ADF, he started weeping and confessed that he has been the one drawing and supplying the fighters with maps of the administrative unit, the location of administrative residences and buildings among others.

Apart from that, the accused reportedly confessed to the SDO that is the brain behind all the financial transactions between the restorationists and their funders.

After Bawe’s open confession, the SDO ordered for his arrest and all attempts by Journalducamerooun.com to talk to him on the allegations levelled against him were futile.

It should be stressed here that Meme Division of the Southwest Region has become a battle ground between elements of the ADF and Government security forces, since the escalation of the Anglophone Crisis in October 2016.
