Dr. Taiga, Minister of Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Industries has said the government constructed modern slaughterhouse and cold-storage warehouse in Ngaoundere will soon be completed
The minister made the announcement during his recent visit to the region. To the Minister, the structures with a capacity of 1,400 m3, will be the second in the country, after the modern slaughterhouse in Yaoundé.
It was revealed that similar structures will be constructed in Kribi and Ebolowa, as a part of the government’s three year emergency plan.
The project is aimed at modernising the country’s cattle sector, which just benefitted from FCfa 60 billion loan from the World Bank.
