More Nigerians deported from Libya

More Nigerians have been flown in from Libya, apparently deported after being stranded in the North African country for months on end.Thousands of Nigerians and other migrants from mainly West African countries have been using strife-torn Libya as an overland springboard to reach mainland Europe in their pursuit of a better life.

A report by the Leadership newspaper on Saturday confirmed that no fewer than 155 Nigerian migrants were on Friday deported from Libya.

It said this made it the fourth batch of Nigerians arriving at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Abuja over the past two months.

Over 700 Nigerians have been flown from Libya since last month.
