Namibia-based Swazi pilot dies of heart attack

Captain Ntsikelelo Liberman Katamzi, a Swazi pilot who was working for Air Namibia and South African Airways (SAA) has died of heart attack at his home in Malkerns, Swaziland over the weekend.Katamzi was trying to rescue a child who was being mauled by his dogs while walking past his home when he experienced heart failure, collapsed and eventually died.

Close relatives of the deceased said he had lived with illness for some time such that he was retired from SAA on medical grounds.

A source has said the pilot’s family have authorised that his dogs be put down immediately after the incident.

The family is also making preparations for the funeral which will take place in Centurion, South Africa.
