Ndop deputy mayor kidnapped

The first assistant mayor of the Ndop council, Nkoketunjia Division of the North West region was reportedly abducted on Thursaday morning by unidentified armed men.

Anthony Mbapah  was taken from his home in the early hours this morning by the armed men and ferried to an unknown destination.

For the moment, no news has filtered on his weherabouts as the council remains tight lipped while his family has pleaded for his release.

This is the latest incident to have occured in Ndop after unidentified men burnt down the administrative unit of the Government Bilingual High School in that locality.

Last month, armed men stormed the Ndop prison, burning it down and freeing about 163 prisoners while injurring some prison guards on duty.
