Nine Cameroonian artists shortlisted for Afrima awards

Nine Cameroonian artists have been shortlisted for the Africa Music Magazine Awards, AFRIMA in the United States of America.

The award ceremony which is in its fifth edition will take place in Texas on November 27.

Afrima brand directors Angela Martins and Maltou Tsotesi unveiled the list last week which featured nine Cameroonians who could follow in the foot steps of past winners like Stanley Enow.

Numerica and Locko have been nominated for the best male Central African artist while X Maleya will be gunning for the best African group, Dr, Nkeng for best video director and Tenor for best newcomer.

In the women’s category, Gasha, Charlotte Dipanda, Reniss and Daphne will be contesting for in the Central African sub region.

Conspicuously absent from the nomination are Alpha Better records star men Mr. Leo and Salatiel.
