Former Cameroon captain Rigobert Song has been appointed captain of the men’s Under-23 football team by the Cameroon Football Federation.
The 42-year old replaces Richard Towa at the helmn of the team and gets just second job still within the Cameroon coachin set up after cutting his teeth with the home-based lions.
Rigobert Song led the home-based Lions to the African Nations Championship earlier this year although his team failed to make it pass the group stage of the competition.
Rigobert Song will be assisted by another former Indomitable Lion Guy Feutchine by ex goalkeeper Souleymanou Hamidou has been appointed goalkeepers’ coach.
Rigobert Song’s former defensive partner Raymond Kalla Nkongho was appointed team manager of Cameroon’s U23 team.
