Amie Ndiaye Sow, Managing Director of UBA Senegal, has been appointed Regional Director in charge of the three subsidiaries of the financial institution in the West African region, APA learned Thursday from UBA.“Ms. Amie Ndiaye Sow, formerly Managing Director of UBA Senegal, has just been promoted to the position of Regional Director in charge of the three West African subsidiaries.
“Her new appointment took effect on March 1st, 2018 and will allow her to oversee the activities of UBA in Senegal, Guinea Conakry and Mali, where the UBA Plc Group has just opened its new subsidiaries,” a communiqué released by the communication and marketing service of UBA Senegal announced.
Prior to her appointment as Regional Director for West Africa Zone 2, Ms. Sow had been the managing director of the Senegal’s subsidiary of the bank since 2013.
She has more than 20 years of professional experience in the banking sector as a risk manager and business developer in the West, Central and Eastern Africa financial markets.
Her experience covers several areas of expertise, ranging from institutional banking, to retail banking, as well as the financial structuring and monitoring of public debt investments.
“This appointment is an excellent opportunity for me to serve the Bank across West Africa. My main objective will be to further develop the subsidiaries I am entrusted with, and to stimulate synergy between the economies concerned. By setting up regional directorates, UBA aims to introduce more efficiency by bringing subsidiaries closer to the sphere of decision-making,” the statement quoted Mrs Sow as saying.
