Soa: University students set to receive Biya’s computer gifts today

Students of the university of Yaounde II in Soa will today begin receiving laptops promised them by President Paul Biya.

The distribution exercise which started yesterday at the University of Yaounde 1, brought together over 1000 students from the different faculties and institutions under the university.

Presiding over the ceremony to officially launch the distribution of the five hundred thousand computers of Mac the Paul Biya higher education vision at the Amphi 700 of the University,  Higher Education Minister, Prof. Jacques Fame Ndongo, said the act is the beginning of a great odyssey. He revealed that the Yaounde distribution will be followed by a second delivery early February in Douala, Bamenda, and Buea.

Speaking to Journal du Cameroun, most of the beneficiaries who prefer anonymity said the laptops will greatly enhance their learning process.

Manufactured in China, the laptops in white and black colors, are branded PB HEV, representing “Paul Biya Higher Education Vision” and has as operating system, Microsoft 10
