South Africa edge Cameroon to win Cosafa Cup

The Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon on Saturday slipped to a 2-1 defeat against South Africa at the final of the Cosafa Cup.

A Refiloe Jane-brace was enough to hand Banyana Banyana the trophy on home soil despite a spirited fight from the Indomitable Lionesses.

Jane opened scoring with a long range drive from 25 yards out which left Cameroon goalkeeper Annette Ngo Ndom with no chance.

However, Cameroon levelled scores on 66 minutes after a neat footwork from Player of the tournament Ngo Mbeleck set her well in the box to finish in style.

But South Africa will get the final laugh as Jane showed excellent pace to race past the Cameroon defence before providing a cool left-footed finish that left Ngo Ndom stranded
