World Cup 2022: Nouhou Tolo Confident for Cameroon’s Upcoming Encounters

The defender in an interview conducted by his club uttered his anxiety to face Cameroon’s group G opponents in the upcoming Qatar 2022 world cup where lions will play first game on November 24.

Last Friday, April 01, 2022, the group stage draws for the Qatar soccer fête were made known. Cameroon was placed in group G thus having Brazil, Serbia and Switzerland as opponents.
Many Cameroonians think the indomitable Lions group is a favorable one after witnessing the teams latest performance. Notwithstanding, some say the presence of top players in these countries could be a stone in the shoes of the Lions.
Some key players Like Nouhou Tolo, seems unbothered about the big names or teams we will face starting November 24th.

The defender of Sounders Seattle, says, “it is always special to play against big players. I remember when we played against Egypt, I was nervous because It was my first time to play against a whole renound player such as Mo Sallah. Everybody knows him to be one of the best players in the world so I was a little bit nervous. we will play against Brazil, Switzerland with Shakiri. We just ought to prepare, that’s all,”.

Though Cameroon’s future opponents have players playing in prestigious European clubs amidst the best of the world, the defender is not scared. He rather believes his team can handle them and they just have to get set for that, ” It is the same game. We just have to be ready knowing that Brazil has alot of good players. Let us be ready to figure out how to shut them down” declares Nouhou Tolo.

Cameroon will play against Switzerland on November 24th the adventure will follow with an encounter against Serbia on November 28 and will play the group’s last game against Brazil scheduled for December 2.

Nouhou Tolo born on June 24, 1997 in Douala is one of Cameroon’s prominent players who distinguished himself during the 2022 Afcon organised on home soil.
His performance, speed and tenacity each time he plays has been highly applauded by many Cameroonians if not all.

The 25 years old defender has been playing for Sounder Seattle since 2016. Before this, he played for Rainbow Bamenda.
