Cameroon: Balance diet is key to healthy lifestyle-Medic

Cameroonians on October 16 joined the world over to commemorate World Food Day.

The day was a singular opportunity for nutritionists and medics to give out best counsel on how to obtain a healthy lifestyle.

According to Dr. Kamga Willy of the Yaounde General Hospital Ngousso , eating healthy does not mean eating too much. He states that a balance diet and physical exercise is the key to a healthy lifestyle.

For her part, Elisabeth Lon a nutritionist in Bamenda said the importance of getting a balance diet can never be over emphasized. She urge Cameroonians to do everything possible to balance diet in their homes.

Going by a December 2017 World Food Programme report states that approximately 16% of households are food insecure. The Far North region is the worse hit followed by the Adamawa and North regions.
